hi!! i'm (the web keeper) madi! i grew on the ever evolving web (as i'm sure many of you did). unfortunently i wasn't sentient enough to experience web 1.5, when myspace, blogs and emails were the norm. thankfully i was just old enough to catch the end of the creative ferver and 'cringe' culture that was early web 2.0, where passionate fandoms and content, furries, animation memes, and minecraft youtubers run rampant!! although i still hold hope in the webs potential to bring about a positive impact, the main stream use of AI, the increasing presence of profit driven content, etc, has made being online a tad unfavourable
however, after happening apon neocities via cjthex's essay, ' what is to be done ', i decided to join the site in 2024 and began working on my website in an attempt to seperate myself from the current web, while still allowing myself to reap the community, creativity and positive impact of the world wide web!!
